Coming from a tropical country, I have been driven by curiosity about what shapes the diversity of forest ecosystems. I challenge traditional academic communication to bring people into science by translating forest data into innovative formats that can be experienced.
Research: Unlocking the forest ecology
My work explores how plant form and function vary across space and time in tropical dry forests. I zoom in on how seeds move across islands, landscapes, and continents, examining how that movement helps shape the structure and diversity of Neotropical dry forests. This understanding is vital for effective conservation.
